Stafford Villa, is a gracious historic double bay villa one of the original homes in Birkenhead Point, lovingly restored to its former grandeur the house has many historic architectural features. Member of the New Zealand Historic Trust, and a Heritage House in the Borough of Birkenhead.

Stafford Villa has two luxury rooms, a private guest library and a sunny drawing room. 

China Blue
The master room China Blue so named for the delicate shades of blue and the eastern influence incorporated in the interior design. A large bedroom with an ensuite dressing area, the bedroom has access to the upper veranda looking out to the garden and Willow Bay. The antique carved mahogany four poster bed with 'ultra plush posturepedic mattress', an abundance of feather pillows, duvets, cushions, exquisite bed linen is very luxurious. A Chinese antique chest tucks away the TV and stereo. The luxurious en-suite dressing area includes Villeroy & Boch bathroom fittings, spa bath, large wardrobe and kauri wooden polished floors.

Tuscany Summer
The second room Tuscany Summer, with large bay window looking out onto the remaining orchard with apple, fig, and plum trees. American wallpaper of assorted orchard fruits gives the suite a light summer feel, the furniture in cream tonings includes a Victoria Brass king bed or twin king singles, plush posturepedic mattress, exquisite linens, soft feather pillows, large antique armoire for TV and stereo. The ensuite tiled bathroom has walk-in shower and amenities.

Rates include all taxes, complimentary gourmet breakfast, and pre dinner aperitif.

Television, VCR, stereo, guest telephone, fax points selection of teas, coffee and home made cookies. Fluffy bathrobes in winter and kimonos in summer. New Zealand natural aromatherapy toiletries, lots of large fluffy towels and fresh flowers.

The complimentary gourmet breakfast with local fruit and vegetables can be served in your room, the dining room or out on the garden patio. We cater for any special requests or dietary requirements.

The library offers a large selection of reading material, complimentary aperitif is served in the evening.

Golf, tennis, cruise in the harbour, fish in the Waitamata, nature walks, restaurants and cafes or just relax in our Victorian garden with a good book. We can arrange a picnic luncheon hamper or a formal dinner with chef and butler.

Stafford Villa is a short car or ferry ride to Auckland city and is minutes away by car to the village of Ponsonby. There are a selection of restaurants of all nationalities within walking distance of Stafford Villa.
